When we think of the body, we normally think – I have a body. We don’t think – I am a body. Well, this implies that the body is something separate from ourselves, much the same as a set of keys. I have a body and I have a set of keys. I have them both yet I am neither.
So we are not the body, but nevertheless we are inside of it. We are the consciousness that animates the body. We control the body in the same way as we control a vehicle and I believe that our bodies can be likened to the vehicles we use to navigate this plane of existence. We are navigators! Yes we are truly navigators, although most times we are like children riding in the bumper cars.
We each have a vehicle. Some people like their vehicles and some people don’t. Some have body work done and eventually some will crash. But one thing is certain, and that is the fact that most of us will receive many more vehicles before we graduate from this driving school.
Now I want to return to the keys. Just as we use a regular set of keys to start an automobile we also use a set of keys to start our vehicles. But these keys are of a finer nature. You see, these keys – these enabling devices, are our thought processes. These are the beliefs that we hold about ourselves and our environments, some consciously and some unconsciously.
Our keys determine where we are able to drive. Some people can drive on pure light and their keys are as light as a photon. Some people drive through the darkest of swamps and their keys are as heavy as a neutron star. So in essence, if we want to see and experience greater things then we only need to get a new set of keys.
