"Childish or Childlike" ?

TODAY'S CONTEMPLATION

I am often accused of being childish.  I prefer to interpret that as child-like.  I still get wildly enthusiastic about little things.  I tend to exaggerate and fantasize and embellish.  I still listen to instinctual urges.  I play with leaves.  I skip down the street and run against the wind.  I never water my garden without soaking myself.  It has been after such times of joy that I have achieved my greatest creativity and produced my best work.

  • exactly...how can one see the joy & fun without being the joy and fun ?

...thanks Lewis, now I know that I am not alone...

  • I'm kinda like this too. I get excited over what to other people would seem like little things. My roommate tells me that I act like a big kid and that she has never met anyone like me in her life. I sing silly songs and do really stupid dances just to amuse myself and her too. I  have changed a lot in the last ten years or so since becoming a mystic. I have a new outlook on life, other people, and things that happen.  I think that Life is a school and oh what a beautiful campus the world is...Lewis
