Metaphorically speaking, we each spend some time lost in the Forest of Errors. While wandering in the Forest we come face to face with the demons of ignorance and we are forced to battle. Without our prior knowledge we are unprepared for these battles. Still we battle and battle we must if we are to succeed.
The paradox is that once we are prepared to face such battles, we will no longer be in the Forest of Errors.
I suppose it's all easy enough to figure out since from a learning perspective what good is a battle without struggle? We wouldn't learn anything if we didn't have to suffer a little; and learning is paramount when battling the demons of ignorance.
