This week, our solar system’s brightest planets, Venus and Jupiter, have come together in the same degree of Taurus. By looking westward at early evening, it has been possible to see this beautiful pair and draw inspiration from their combined light and energy.

Ancient astrologers honored these bodies’ positive influences and power to bestow blessings by calling Jupiter “the greater benefic” and Venus “the lesser benefic.” Today’s astrologers continue this tradition, seeing both planets as offering great potential to assist us and to promote good in our lives.

Although she is the smaller of the two, Venus appears brighter to us. Named for the ancient Roman goddess of love and beauty, Venus rules relationships, especially partnerships of all kinds. She also governs beauty, pleasure, socializing, and the arts. In general, Venus tends to sweeten and soften all she touches.

In Taurus, one of the signs she rules, she takes on even greater strength and encourages us to find pleasure in Taurus’s love of the Earth, nature, sensuality, good food, arts and crafts, and beautifying our homes and ourselves. Venus in this sign especially inspires us to enjoy our senses and the physical delights of being incarnate in a human body.

Although appearing less bright to us, Jupiter is larger than Venus. Named for the ancient Roman king of the gods, jovial and giant Jupiter rules what helps us grow, especially in understanding: higher education, religion, beliefs, foreign lands and people, and higher justice. In general, Jupiter bestows good fortune and tends to expand or increase everything he touches.

In Taurus, Jupiter can help us feel abundant and blessed in the simple things of daily existence: having a human body that functions well, being able to enjoy beauty, feeling moved by wonderful music, and becoming at one with all life by spending time in nature. Jupiter in this sign especially inspires us to find meaning in creation and to see the divine in all things.

With Venus and Jupiter conjunct (that is, in the same degree of the same astrological sign) in Taurus, their energies are combined, enhanced, and increased. Jupiter expands Venus’s desire for love, beauty, and pleasure, and Venus sweetens Jupiter’s optimism and restless quest for the meaning of life. Because these planets occupy an earth sign and currently sit in a harmonious trine relationship with two other planets in earth signs (Mars in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn), this is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy earthy pleasures such as eating simple but delicious food, encouraging hugs and other physical affection, breathing fresh air outdoors, and smelling sweet springtime flowers.

This time also offers us a powerful opportunity to pay homage to the planet we call home because Taurus is associated strongly with the Earth. Also, Venus is linked with our values and the things we cherish, so we have the possibility of renewing our relationship (Venus) with Earth and realizing more deeply her value to us. Meanwhile, Jupiter’s search for understanding asks us to consider what Earth means to us and to recognize how our planet gives abundantly and freely, with a magnitude that makes it impossible for us to repay her generosity.

In the face of such love and beauty (Venus), such grandeur and depth of meaning (Jupiter), our hearts become filled with gratitude to nature, Earth, and all creation. In treating nature kindly and holding love and beautiful thoughts about creation, we can begin to repay, in our small way, the goodness we have received.

May your own time in nature inspire you well at this potent time.

Pisces: Preparing for Change

In coming months, several astrological shifts will bring us strong energies encouraging innovation, transformation, and constructive change.

You already may be feeling these impulses as a strong desire for immediate action, thanks to Uranus—a planet associated with awakening and sudden change—in powerful Aries. Also, the waxing Moon, which will be full on March 8, may be bringing tension and a desire for release through action. In addition, the equinox will arrive in about two weeks and bring with it a new astrological year as well as a new season, so you may feel restless and want to rush ahead rather than take your time closing out the current year.

Yet several other astrological factors suggest our best course lies in using the next two weeks for final preparations for the new instead of pressing for instant results. For example, the Sun is only halfway through its annual sojourn in Pisces, a typically introspective and dreamy time of the year. Mars, the action planet, remains retrograde until next month, making it hard to take action right now. Mercury, the planet ruling our mental processes, will go retrograde in a few days and remain so for three weeks, so our thinking may lack the clarity needed for making decisions. After the full Moon this Thursday, the Moon will enter its waning cycle, encouraging us to become introspective until the next new Moon on March 22.

So, like the tortoise, we can make our best progress now by slowing down. As we do, we can begin to notice important yet subtle details we otherwise would miss, and we may experience flashes of intuition or unusual insights during meditation. During this process, themes related to Pisces (spirituality, unity, compassion) and to Virgo (analysis, perfection, service) take on added importance because the Sun and Neptune are in Pisces and Mars and the coming full Moon are in its opposite sign, Virgo.

Along the way, we may encounter issues related to health because both these signs place special emphasis on this area. That makes this an excellent time to review our daily routines to ensure they support health on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual planes. Also, because both Virgo and Pisces focus on service to others, the next two weeks are a good time to reflect on how we can help others without becoming overextended or harming our own health.

Virgo's keen eye helps us see patterns, so this is a good time to learn from the past by noticing errors we tend to repeat; then use Pisces's intuitive powers to identify root causes and new ways to overcome them. Pisces's sensitive nature helps us realize what hurts us, making this a good time to notice how we allow ourselves to become victims; then use Virgo's pragmatism to reclaim personal power and set healthy limits and boundaries.

Above all, this period offers a good time to rest, especially if we have experienced illness or disappointment in recent months. The astrology of late spring will bring powerful energies and many opportunities for change, and we can harness them much more effectively if we take the time to refresh ourselves now.

May the coming days bring you abundant opportunities for deep rest and fruitful introspection.

Pisces: Winding Down the Astrological Year

If you have felt a little dreamy lately and unable to accomplish as much as you normally do, then your life is mirroring the current astrology and putting you in a gentle harmony with planetary energies.

With the Sun in Pisces, we are in the waning days of the current astrological year because Pisces is the last sign in the zodiac. From now until the upcoming equinox, which occurs when the Sun enters Aries on March 19 or 20 (depending on your time zone), we have opportunities to review the past year, tie up loose ends, and prepare for the new astrological year.

Given Pisces’s emotional sensitivity and interest in spirituality, this time of year typically brings a dreamy energy that encourages us to draw inward and helps us close out the astrological year via self-reflection. This year, additional astrological factors increase that impulse:

    •    Mars, the planet of action and personal initiative, is retrograde in Virgo, the sign opposite Pisces. When any planet is retrograde, it appears to move backward and its energy becomes muted; in the case of Mars, our “get up and go” gets up and goes, forcing us to slow down and put off taking action or making decisions. Working effectively with this energy, which continues until mid-April, means taking action (Mars) on the inner plane (retrograde) by reviewing Virgo-related areas of life (health, job, daily routine).
    •    With Mars opposite the Sun in Pisces, we might encounter people or circumstances that seem to block our outward progress or ability to get things done, making this a good time to slow down and review the Pisces areas of our lives as well (spirituality, consciousness, compassionate service to others).
    •    Adding to this slow and dreamy energy is Mercury, currently in Pisces and appearing to slow down before it goes retrograde March 12. Mercury rules reasoning and other mental processes, so we may find it more difficult to make decisions.
    •    Saturn, the planet that pushes us to work hard to achieve tangible results, also is retrograde and remains so until late June. Saturn is in Libra (relationships, balance, justice), making this a good time to review all partnerships and other Libra areas of life.

These energies increase this time of year’s natural impulse toward contemplation and inner reflection, making this a perfect time to rest, review the past, and dream about the future. You may find it helpful to draw on your spiritual resources in the coming weeks by paying special attention to your dreams and intuition and then reflecting on them via  prayer and meditation.

If you do not currently pursue a spiritual practice, you may feel drawn to explore this area of your life. Then, like a fish breaking water, you may find that life’s hidden dimensions begin to bubble up and break the surface of your consciousness, enriching and expanding your life. If you pay attention to the insights you receive, you will be ready to move forward with greater spiritual depth once the new astrological year begins in March.

Wishing you a fruitful end to this astrological year.

Valentine’s Day occurs on February 14 each year, when the Sun occupies Aquarius. This timing, and the holiday’s association with hearts, give us clues to this day’s deeper significance and potential.

In astrology, the heart is associated with Aquarius’s opposite sign, Leo. This fiery sign symbolized by the Lion comes at the height of summer in the northern hemisphere and brings us a fiery, passionate, and deeply personal energy. Leo feels strongly and can be hurt easily because it tends to take much of life quite personally; although it may display a flashing temper or roar dramatically for attention at times, Leo generally withdraws in solitude when sad or hurt in order to lick its wounds in private.

By contrast, Aquarius, an airy sign symbolized by an androgynous person holding a water vessel, comes during winter in the northern hemisphere and brings us a cool, detached, and deeply impersonal energy. Aquarius typically thinks rather than feels, making this energy useful for science or other activities requiring a dispassionate, clinical approach; in relationships, though, this ability to function unemotionally can appear cold or even hurtful to others.

Without balance, Leo is all heart and Aquarius is all head. Each needs the other, yet they remain polarized until we take the time to blend and balance them. When we do, Leo has enough detachment to love wisely, and Aquarius gains enough passion to love well.

When these two signs achieve balance they allow us to transform Valentine’s Day into an opportunity for love on a grand scale. Just imagine if we could extend the highly personal love (Leo) we feel for our dear ones on Valentine’s Day to a sense of good will toward our entire human family (Aquarius): this universal love opens our own hearts while helping uplift those who feel separate, isolated, or alienated in any way.

Love itself already is unlimited and universal, yet so often we resist its divine power and perfect nature, thinking we must reserve our kind thoughts or feelings for loved ones, friends, or people we know well. In this case, Leo and Aquarius can help us find our way to a higher, greater love…to a universal (Aquarius) love (Leo).

Like its ruler, the Sun, which shines its light freely on all creation, Leo has the potential to shine by radiating love freely to all. Simply thinking of this symbol can remind us to love universally, from our hearts (Leo). Meanwhile, Aquarius can help us overcome our tendency to keep love small or restricted to certain people because it carries a strongly universal quality and an idealistic urge to help all humanity. Simply thinking of the Aquarian Water Bearer, freely sharing the waters of wisdom to help all people, can help us universalize our love.

May these two signs blend beautifully in your life, that you may experience the joy of universal love.

Happy Valentine’s Day.

Aquarius: Awakening Your Heart

While the Sun travels through Aquarius each year, it brings all of us powerful opportunities for personal awakening.

Aquarius, the 11th sign of the zodiac, is ruled by Uranus, an unusual planet sometimes called “the Great Awakener.” Named for the ancient Greek sky god Ouranos, this planet has a tipped rotational axis that causes it to revolve on its side. This sideways point of view gives us a clue to Aquarians’ tendency to see the world in unusual ways.

While the Sun is in Aquarius, we all become “honorary Aquarians” and may benefit from this sign’s peculiar energies. For example, Aquarius is associated with electricity and lightning on both the physical and spiritual planes. As in a thunderstorm, when lightning flashes suddenly and seemingly randomly, we may experience flashes of Uranian wisdom in the form of noble thoughts, unusual solutions to difficult problems, and sudden spiritual awakenings.

How to use inspirations well

To use these inspirations well, we need to ground them. Simply recording them—jotting them down on paper or capturing them digitally as a text or e-mail or other note to ourselves—will help our minds begin working with new ideas.

In addition, we need to reflect on the inspirations we receive to decide how best to use them. Although some ideas may prove ingenious or even brilliant, others may be simply eccentric or strange and have no practical use.

Opening the heart

While reflecting on our various inspirations, it’s helpful to remember that Aquarius is an air sign and that air symbolizes the mind and ideas. When out of balance, Aquarians earn a reputation for living in their heads and being out of touch with practical considerations. They also may become so focused on ideas and implementing their version of utopia that they lose sight of emotional considerations as they try to fix or control other people.

To balance these tendencies, we can turn to Aquarius’s opposite sign, which is Leo. Like yin and yang, astrological signs come in pairs of opposites, and our work lies in balancing these pairs. In the case of Aquarius and Leo, we must balance head (Aquarius) with heart (Leo).

The watercolor painting that accompanies this article, Lightning Heart II, suggests how to do this. As Aquarius is associated with lightning, Leo is associated with the heart. While Aquarius tends to be impersonal, Leo is deeply emotional and tends to take things too personally when it’s out of balance.

As the painting symbolizes, rather than restricting lightning flashes of brilliance to your mind, allow Uranus’s electric power to flash through your heart via meditation and prayer. During these times of silent introspection, reflect on the ideas your mind has been given and filter them through the wisdom and compassion of your heart, your spiritual self.

As you engage in this process, you will find a beautiful balance between your head (Aquarius) and your heart (Leo). Over time, you will come to understand why mystics say that true intelligence lies within the heart.

Aquarius: Loving What's Different

The Sun’s annual journey through Aquarius brings an urge toward tolerance and acceptance of others, no matter how different they may be from ourselves.

The desire to “live and let live” feels stronger at this time, and often it manifests as a desire for making new acquaintances or expanding our circle of friends. In the highest sense, Aquarius’s association with friendship inspires us toward a universal “siblinghood” of humanity, in which all are sisters and brothers within the human family.

These energies make this a powerful time to let go of judgment and fear regarding other people, whether they are individuals, groups, or even entire nations. This may prove difficult, however, if we harbor negative beliefs or emotions about what we perceive as different.

On the simplest level, we might feel uncomfortable when meeting new people. That discomfort may grow when meeting someone who does not look the way we do or who dresses quite differently or has a different educational or cultural background. Even with people we know well, we may feel anxious if they begin to change or if they behave in ways we do not expect.

These emotions sometimes include more challenging feelings such as suspicion, resentment, or even fear when confronted with someone who seems different. On the mental plane, we may carry beliefs that make it difficult for us to tolerate, let alone accept, someone who is “different.” Even on the spiritual level, we may carry preconceptions about what is acceptable and what is simply “too different.”

Mysticism offers a way to move beyond these challenges. Mystics throughout the ages have realized through meditation that, at the level of the soul, all is one. Although we incarnate into different physical bodies, we are all connected to one another and live in a spiritual unity by virtue of our souls and our abiding attachment to the divine. It is not necessary to adopt unity as a belief; instead, we may journey within ourselves and experience unity directly, at the level of the soul, and therefore know it as a fact.

Having experienced the truth of divine unity, it becomes easier to operate constructively on the other planes of our existence. For example, if challenging feelings arise regarding others, we can use our minds to analyze what we feel and then choose whether and how to respond. With time, we can create new habits of feeling that contribute to our happiness and that of those around us. As another example, if negative beliefs arise when meeting new people, we can use our reasoning to understand what is happening and make a choice to set aside beliefs and simply experience new people for who they are.

By freeing ourselves of judgment and fear, we also free others to be themselves. When that happens, we have a chance to interact with one another in new and more authentic ways. Then, we find ourselves in Aquarius territory, where each person is unique and maybe even quirky or eccentric, and yet everyone feels a sense of belonging to the whole. In this Aquarian place, we embrace the great paradox that honoring differences is the path that restores us to unity.

Where in the body is the Soul?

In my attempt to bring together all that i have learned from The Rosicrucians, Martinists, Edgar Cayce, the Bible and words. And then interpret all of my studies. i have concurred within myself (and teach to others), that there is a difference between "Soul" and Spirit".

There seems to be a great difficulty in coming up with words and explanations of "actuality" that can be accepted by those locked into "reality".

Reality being existence as realized through the highly limited 5 senses.

With actuality being existence beyond reality.

An example would be the light range which is much larger with many more facets than that tiny amount that can be perceived through the eyes.

The Creative Source and owner of the entire Cosmos and everything in it is a Spirit.

And as in a big bang, this Spirit exploded at least a trillion little pieces of itself out of itself and these little pieces are us. We are Spirit. Spirit is the image of G-d that we were created in.

Then G-d clothed us in a little white light so that we could be perceived by others. This white light is either the Soul or the combination of Spirit and it's light = Soul.

i am not yet real sure which it is.

But then when The Source breathed us into a human body, the body became known as a "LIVING" Soul. This Soul traveled through out the body. Even permeating out of the pores forming a little light even around the body (the Aura).

So the Soul would be around and throughout the body. --- Dr. Charles Richard Eminizer

Messages Silently Sent

Messages Silently Sent

For weeks my heart was heavy, my mind filled with doubt;
The negativity so depressing, but now the Truth wins out.

The Dream Time was interrupted with messages silently sent;
Delivered by unseen beings, who came and as quickly went.

Very little allowed to memory, enough fragments to understand;
A mission to neutralize darkness, Light is what "THEY" demand.

Forsaking lies and deception, understanding what I defend;
Two Masters cannot be followed, one of them must now end.

To recognize those who will harm, with magic the color of soot;
Powers and strength will be provided, to overcome what is afoot.

There are also many others to assist in what "THEY" now ask;
None will ever be left alone, to carry out this worthwhile task.

The celestial drums are beating, much faster than my heart;
As "THEY" await my agreement, willingly to do my part.

A reminder of Hierarchy duties and what is expected of me;
Pervades my waking hours, with visions of what is to be.

More words sent from the aether, a warning to any who dare;
The chain cannot be broken, know "THEY" are always aware.

"Woe to ye who harm what we hold dear."

The Awakening

The great, long awaited year of 2012 is here. Can you feel yourself changing?

Imagine humanity as a single, huge person who has lain sleeping for eons. That long slumber is coming to an end. As humanity grows in spiritual awareness and prepares to enter a new era of greater understanding, the sleeping being we have been will arise and stand ready for a new life of greater responsibility and richer meaning.

With Monday’s Full Moon, which was exact at 1:31 a.m. CST (7:31 a.m. GMT), we had opportunities to experience the greater awareness we will need in times to come. The Full Moon occurred in sensitive Cancer, opposite the Sun in stern Capricorn. In between these two bodies was our Earth, being squeezed between Capricorn’s relentless demands to build a better foundation and the Moon’s need for caring and nurturing.

Full Moons often take us to the emotional edge, forcing us to feel deeply so we can gain clarity. With a Full Moon in Cancer, the emotional stakes are even higher because this watery sign governs memory, the past, and our deepest needs.

If you had the courage to feel (Cancer) whatever came up within you over the past several days and to be honest with yourself about what you learned in that process, take a moment to acknowledge your victory. If you gained new clarity about your purpose (Capricorn) and about what you really need to feel secure (Cancer), then you have reaped an abundant inner harvest.

That self-knowledge will be helpful when the Sun enters Aquarius in about ten days and brings us the Water Bearer’s energy of awakening and sudden change. What you have learned will help you maintain inner stability amid outer change and help you bring patience to challenging situations.

May the light of understanding you received at the Full Moon inspire you well in the weeks that lie ahead.

Peu à peu, little by little

Earthy, practical energy abounds today, with half the planets in earth signs. The Sun and Pluto can be found in Capricorn, the Moon and Jupiter are moving through Taurus, and Mars is energizing Virgo.

This earth emphasis can help bring our plans down to earth, making our ideas practical and our efforts efficient so we can manifest what has taken shape in our minds. At the same time, however, the urge to get to work and make real progress on challenging goals can bring up difficult emotions.

The Sun and Pluto in Capricorn demand that we shine light on our darkest secrets about work, status, and career. Although these energies can help raise our awareness and increase our integrity, they also can make us so sharp and critical toward ourselves that we feel unable or incompetent to take on the big tasks that lie before us. If our criticism extends to others, we can short-circuit cooperation and inhibit creativity.

With the Moon and Jupiter in Taurus, we can be inspired to embrace values that reflect our heart’s desire and our capacity for wisdom. Without awareness, however, Jupiter might simply expand Taurus’s potential for verbal clumsiness and criticism, and we may feel deeply hurt by dogmatic beliefs or opinions presented as truth.

Mars in Virgo can bring tremendous passion to our desire to improve the world and perfect ourselves. Used without awareness, however, this energy can have us seeing nothing but flaws and feeling nothing but anger about them.

In addition, Neptune and Venus are in Aquarius, an air sign whose detachment can feel cold and uncaring when out of balance. Mercury and Uranus are both in fire signs, making our minds impulsive and heating up our desire for independence and freedom. That leaves no major planets in water signs and puts us in an emotional gap.

To work effectively with these energies, we need to supply our own emotional balance by being gentle and tender with ourselves and others. Rather than looking at a major goal or project and seeing a mountain peak that must be reached now, we can bear in mind that reaching the top requires patience and time (both hallmarks of Capricorn).

In the beginning, all we must do is start. Then, we make a small step forward. With persistence, we move ahead, little by little, peu à peu. Over time, we draw closer to the summit until, one day, we stand at the top and look out to survey how far we’ve come and how beautiful and meaningful the view now appears to us.

Wishing you tender loving kindness at every step of your journey.

Merry Christ'smass one and all!

To understand Jesus best. We must understand Jesus's Father 1st.

People tend to bandy the word "god" around haphazardly. Any body and everybody is nonchalantly calling anyone and everyone "god" (there are of course exceptions to this and all rules [some of us don't]). For example they call King Neptune "god" or Zeus "god". Some Christians, (too many), call Jesus "god".

Like our Jewish siblings call "Abba" King. But this denigrates "Abba" to a lower status than "Abba" is. Any body can be a king, including herod and the roman emporer constantine. People tend to want to humanize "G-d", and godize every body else.

We Martinists must realize that there is only 1 true "God" and that this 1 true "God" is,

"THE CREATIVE SOURCE AND OWNER,

OF THE ENTIRE COSMOS,

AND EVERYTHING IN IT."

This is the 1 true "G-d", and there are no others. This how in "The new age of Spiritual Enlightenment" we will refer to the 1 true "G-d", when we speak about Him. When we speak with/to "THE CREATIVE SOURCE AND OWNER, OF THE ENTIRE COSMOS, AND EVERYTHING IN IT" we will say "Abba" which is Aramaic for Dad". Jesus told us to "Call no man upon this Earth Your Father, because You have only one father, and that is our Father that is Heaven."

Jesus also said that he has "... more things to tell us, but that we are not yet ready, to hear them."

Here is one thing that we were not yet ready to hear (are we now) "Abba" is within our shell (Temple), with us. We are not body we are Spirit and Spirit is the image of "Abba" in which we were created. As we are in this material body, so is "Abba" in here with us (now You know, how He knows, what is in our hearts, as well as everything that we think, say and do).

Whenever the human race is most desperate (as now, with the world's 1%ers taking all that the world's 99%ers have) and we plead with "Abba" for help He sends Mayshia (Hebrew for Messiah), to us. He sends Mayshia to us for 2 basic reasons 1) Mayshia has taken it upon hisself to aid human Spirits to become one with "Abba" once again.

2) because Mayshia has evolved, through overcoming the flesh and self, into "Abba's" perfect Conduit/Channel ("The works You see me doing, i am not doing but The Father that is in me, is doing them.").

So when the world's 99%ers, were begging "Abba" for help and relief from the world's 1%ers, (through the romans). He sent Mayshia to them whom people today call Jesus, (the next time he comes his new name will be Emmanuel). To get him back again now, we need to all repeat (often), "Blessed is he, who comes in the name, of the Lord!"

The main purpose that Jesus came to us then, was to set the stage for 12/21/2012.  But the secondary purpose was to start humanity on its evolutionary path of becoming "Abba's" conduit/Channels as he is.

Jesus is our ONLY, role model, hero and example. It is he that we must emulate to become once again one with "Abba". We must pick up our cross and follow our leader (hero, role model and example). We must overcome the flesh (materiality) and submit our wills to "Abba's" will. Yes our Islamic siblings have it right we must submit our wills to "Allah's" will (The Creative Source and owner of the entire Cosmos and everything in it, by any other name is still the 1 true G-d!).

i for one will be giving my brother Emmanuel a birthday party and celebrate his having come to us 2,000 (or so) years (Actually 3/29/4 bc). We will be singing happy birthday to him and pleading with him to please come back again real real soon.

So Mery Christ'smass ya all!!!!!~~

Blessed is he, who comes in the name, of The Lord, (Abba)!

With Love & Respect

i am Your sibling

The Dove Speaks

On December 25, Jupiter will end its retrograde period for this year, giving us renewed opportunities to enjoy this planet's joy, benevolence, and optimism.

When a planet goes retrograde, it appears to move backward as seen from Earth, and its energies become less available to us on the material plane. Jupiter's current retrograde began August 30, so all these months its natural exuberance has been dampened. Also, Jupiter's gifts of luck, abundance, and good fortune may have seemed elusive.

Working effectively with a planet's retrograde phase means allowing its energies to operate on the inner plane. In the case of Jupiter, that means expanding our inner selves and increasing our capacity for tolerance, good will, and wisdom. With Jupiter now in Taurus, the past few months have given us opportunities to grow inwardly and gain wisdom (Jupiter) by examining our beliefs (Jupiter) about nature, our values, and the experience of being incarnate (Taurus).

Starting December 25, new opportunities will come our way to express the inner growth we've achieved and the wisdom we've received during Jupiter's retrograde. To make the most of these opportunities, it may be helpful to meditate on the dove and its symbolism.

As with all birds, the dove serves as a messenger, bringing intuitive guidance from celestial realms. Long associated with peace and gentleness, doves also symbolize spiritual knowledge and wisdom. By bringing stillness into our lives and cultivating a serene heart, we create the proper conditions for the dove–wisdom–to enter.

When it comes, wisdom feels like a little dove, softly bringing messages from our higher self. Open your heart, and let its gentle voice speak freely…

Wishing you the dove's wise peace.

Peaceful Solstice

The Sun will leave exuberant Sagittarius and enter sober Capricorn tonight at 11:31 Chicago time (tomorrow at 5:30 a.m. Greenwich time). This event brings us the Solstice, a time for taking stock of the past six months and looking ahead to the coming half year.

Here in the northern hemisphere, the Sun appears weak because we are at the time of least daylight. With so little external light, we have an opportunity to focus on our inner light. Just as the Sun is being reborn symbolically at this time, we are being reborn spiritually.

During the coming days, set aside some time to draw inward and assess your life over the past six months. Along with evaluating what could have been done better, be sure to celebrate all that you accomplished and all that you contributed to our collective life and happiness here on planet Earth. Then, look ahead to the next six months and set an intention or two that will improve your life in some way. See yourself achieving those intentions, and when the next Solstice arrives, you will have tangible results to celebrate.

Wishing you a peaceful interlude at this powerful time.

Wikipedia has TMO wrong

I wanted to bring something to someones attention. If  you can't do
anything about it maybe you pass it along to someone that can. As you
know more and more people get there information from  the Internet.
Wikipedia is a trusted and well known on-line resource and I was
surprised their article on “Martinism” was inaccurate in it's
description of  “ The Traditional Martinist Order”  Please, look at
the follow link:

 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martinism#List_of_Martinist_orders

This reads:

“Traditional Martinist Order (TMO), which operates under the aegis of
AMORC. This has attracted controversy from other Martinist groups, as
the TMO purports to offer a Self-initiation into Martinism
correspondence course. This is criticized by other Martinists on the
grounds that (it is alleged) properly speaking, one can only receive
the true Martinist initiation in person from an initiator who has a
chain of succession linking back to Saint-Martin.

Note: AMORC states to members that Initiations can only be conferred
in Temples, but does offer a home study course, without initiations.
Thus explaining you will not experience Martinism in full.”
This statement is inaccurate because it fails to talk about Initiation
in the Temples of Hepdats and Ateliers thus allowing TMO the
opportunity  to provide “ the true Martinist initiation in person from
an initiator who has a chain of succession linking back to
Saint-Martin” to it's members.

Also, I would like to  draw attention to the fact that Wikipedia
doesn't have a article entitled “Traditional Martinist Order”. Someone
should write such a article. I have the technical knowledge to do so
but lack Scholarly expertise and authority to do so. Also, I have the
technical knowledge to correct the error in the “Martinism” article
but in order to do so I need to be able to site my references.
 Sincerely

The age of Spiritual Enlightenment

Hi,this is my 1st blog so i hope i get it right. The ancient Maya wrote of the Astronomical alignment of the our Solar system with the galactic dark Rift occurring on 12/21/2012. They say that the human race, will at that point begin to step up to a higher level of Spiritual evolution. i call this step up period of time "The Age of Spiritual Enlightenment".All of the secret knowledge that we Martinists now love and cherish will be let out into the waiting world which will accept it with unprecedented acceptance and understanding. Not that this will all happen overnight on 12/21 but it has already begun. We are now experiencing the ending of this old world and the beginning of the new world. This world's unequal, unbalanced monetary and political system will be replaced by a one person one vote political system and the redistribution of the world's money and resources. There will no longer be either rich people or poor people. All will have everything that they need and all that they want. Bullies will no longer exist neither in the children's environment, nor the adults environment. We are heading into what the Jewish people call "Gan Eden", the Greek philosophers called "Utopia", and the Hindus call Nirvana (or is that the Bhuddists?). Be of good cheer, all endings are beginnings and every beginning came from an ending. Jesus of course called it "G-d's kingdom here on Earth.".This changeover will be completed after The Jewish/Christian "Mayshia", arrives on Earth with His U.F.O. Armada, filled with His Angels. The current world's leaders tell You that the U.F.O.s are our enemies, but i now tell You, that they are our friends (AngEls). If they wanted to take over the world as enemies, they could have done that a long long time ago. They are here to save us. Let us welcome them by saying 3 times each, 3 times a day "Blessed is He, who comes in the name, of the Lord!"Let they who have ears to hear, hear (i would think that this is all Martinists).Blessings to all of You, my siblingsDa Doc

Ten Prayers - Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin

Ten Prayers by Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin

FIRST PRAYER

Source of all which is, Thou who sendest spirits of error and of darkness to the untruthful, which cut them off from Thy love, do Thou send unto him who seeks Thee a spirit of truth, uniting him for ever with Thee. May the fire of this spirit consume me all the traces of the old man, and, having consumed them, may it produce from those ashes a new man, on whom Thy sacred hand shall not disdain to pour a holy Chrism! Be this the end of penitence and its long toils, and may Thy life, which is one everywhere, transform my whole being in the unity of Thine image, my heart in the unity of Thy love, my activity in the unity of the works of justice, and my thought in the unity of all lights. Thou dost impose great sacrifices on man, only to compel him to seek in Thee all his riches and all his delights, and Thou dost force him to seek all these treasures in Thee only because Thou knowest that they alone can make him happy, for Thou alone dost possess them, who hast engendered and created them. Truly, O God of my life, I can find nowhere save in Thee the root and realisation of my being. Thou also bast said that in the heart of man alone canst Thou find Thy repose. Cease not, therefore, for one instant thine operations upon me, that not only may I live, but that Thy name may be known among the nations. Thy prophets have declared that the dead cannot praise Thee; let death then never come near me, for I burn to offer Thee immortal praise ; I burn with desire that the Eternal Son of Truth may never have to reproach the heart of man with the smallest clouding of Thy splendour or the least diminution of its fulness. God of my life, the utterance of whose Name accomplishes all things, restore to my nature that which Thou didst first impart to it, and I will manifest that Name among the nations, and they shall learn that Thou alone art their God, Thou alone their essential life, as Thou only art the movement and motive principle of all beings. Do Thou sow the seed of Thy desires in the soul of man, in that field where none can contest with Thee, since it is Thou who hast brought it into existence. Sow Thy desires therein, that the soul, by the force of Thy love, may be snatched from the depths which hold it and would swallow it up for ever. Abolish for me the realm of images; scatter the fantastic barriers which place an immense interval and spread thick darkness between Thy living light and me, entombing me in their folds. Show unto me the sacred character and the divine seal of which Thou art the custodian; pierce the centre of my soul with the fire which burns in Thee, that my soul may burn with Thee till it knows Thine ineffable life and the inexhaustible delights of Thine eternal existence. Too feeble to endure the weight of Thy Name, I leave in Thy hands the task of erecting its complete edifice and of laying Thyself its first foundations in the depths of that soul which Thou has given me for a torch, showing light to the nations, that they may no more dwell in darkness. Thanks be unto Thee, O God of peace and love ! thanks be unto Thee, because Thou hast been mindful of me, and hast not willed that my soul should want, lest Thine enemies should say that the Father forges His children or is unable to deliver them.

SECOND PRAYER

I will approach Thee , Thou God of my being; I will approach Thee, all unclean as I am ; I will show myself with confidence before Thee; I will come unto Thee in the name of Thine eternal existence, in the name of my life, in the name of Thy holy alliance with man. This threefold offering shall be for Thee an acceptable sacrifice, on which Thy Spirit shall send down its divine fire, to consume and transport it to Thy sacred abode, all charged and filled with the desires of a needy soul sighing only after Thee. Lord, Lord ! when shall I hear Thee utter in the abyss of my soul that consoling and living word which calls on man by his name, proclaiming his enrolment in the heavenly army, and Thy will that he should be numbered among Thy servants ? By the power of that holy word shall I find myself speedily encompassed by the eternal memorials of Thy power and love, with which I shall boldly advance against Thine enemies, and they shall flee before the dread lightnings flashing from Thy victorious word. Alas, O Lord ! shall a man of misery and darkness cherish such high aspirations, such proud hopes? In place of smiting the enemy, must he not seek only a shield from their blows? Furnished no longer with shining arms, is he not, as a despicable object, reduced to tears of shame and ignominy in the thickets of his retreat, unable to show himself before the day ? In place of those triumphant anthems which once followed him in his conquests, is he not doomed only to be heard amid sighs and groans ? Vouchsafe at least one boon, O Lord, that whensoever Thou searchest my heart and my reins, Thou shalt never find them void of Thy praise and love. I feel, and would feel unceasingly, that all time is enough for Thy praise, that to accomplish this holy work in a manner which is worthy of Thee, my entire being must be possessed and set in motion by Thine eternity. Grant, therefore, O God of all life and all love, that my soul may reinforce its weakness with Thy strength ; permit it to enter into a holy league with Thee, by which I shall be invincible in the sight of my enemies, which shall bind me so to Thee by the desires of my heart and of Thine, that Thou shalt ever find me as zealous for Thy service and glory as Thou, O Lord, art eager for my deliverance and beatitude.

THIRD PRAYER

Spouse of my soul! by whom it has conceived the desire of wisdom, aid me Thyself to give birth to this well-beloved son, whom I can never cherish sufficiently. So soon as he beholds the light, immerse him in the pure baptismal waters of Thy life-giving Spirit, and be he ever numbered among the faithful members of the Church of the Most High. Like a tender mother, do Thou take him in Thine arms till his feeble limbs have strength for his support, and shield him from all that is harmful. Spouse of my soul! unknown except by the humble, I do homage to Thy power, and I would not confide to other hands than Thine this son of love whom Thou hast given me. Nourish him Thyself, watch over his early steps instruct him when he grows in the honour which he owes to his Father, that his days may be long on the earth; inspire him with respect and love for the might and the virtues of Him who hath given him being. Spouse of my soul! inspire me also, me first, to nourish this precious child unceasingly with spiritual milk, which Thou has formed Thyself in my breast. May I ever behold in my son the image of his Father, in his Father the likeness of my son, and of all those whom Thou mayst engender within me through the unbroken course of the eternities. Spouse of my soul!: known only to the sanctified, be Thou at once the mentor and model of this child of Thy Spirit, that in all times and places his works and example may proclaim his heavenly origin. Place Thou also at length on his head the crown of glory, and he shall be an everlasting monument before the peoples of the majesty of Thy Name. Spouse of my soul! such are the delights which Thou preparest for those who love Thee and seek for union with Thee. Perish everlastingly him who would tempt me to break our sacred alliance! Perish everlastingly him who would persuade me to prefer another spouse! Spouse of my soul! take me Thyself for Thine own child; let me be one with him in Thine eyes, and pour on us each all graces which we cannot both receive from Thy love. I can live no more if the voices of myself and my son be forbidden to unite for the eternal celebration of Thy praises in canticles, like inexhaustible rivers ever engendered by the sense of Thy wonders and Thy power ineffable.

FOURTH PRAYER

How should I dare , O Lord, for one instant to gaze on myself without trembling at the horror of my misery! I dwell in the midst of my own iniquities, the fruit of all manner of excesses, which have become even as a vestment; I have outraged all my laws, I have misused my soul, I have abused my body; I have turned, and do turn daily, to an ill account all the graces which Thy love showers continually on Thine ungrateful and faithless creature. To Thee should I sacrifice all, giving nothing unto time, which in Thy sight is like an idol, void of life and understanding; yet I devote all unto time and nothing unto Thee. Thus do I cast myself beforehand into the abyss of confusion, given over to idolatrous worship, where Thy name is not known. I have acted like the senseless and ignorant of this world, who expend all their efforts to annul the dread decrees of justice and to render this place of probation no longer one of toil and suffering in their eyes. God of peace and God of truth, if the confession of my faults be insufficient for their remission, remember Him who took them on Himself, washing them in the blood of His body, His soul, and His love. Like fire, which consumes all material and impure substances, like this fire which is His image, He returns to Thee, free from all stains of earth. In Him and by Him alone can the work of my purification and rebirth be fulfilled. In Him alone can Thy sacred majesty endure to regard man, through whom also Thou willest our cure and our salvation. Gazing with the eyes of His love, which cleanses all, Thou dost see no longer any deformity in man, but only that divine spark which is in Thine own likeness, which Thy sacred ardour draws perpetually to itself, as a property of Thy divine source. O Lord, Thou canst contemplate only that which is true and pure as Thyself; evil is beyond the reach of Thine exalted sight, and hence the evil man is like one whom Thou rememberest no more, whom Thine eyes cannot fix, since he has no longer any correspondence with Thee. In this abyss of horror I have, notwithstanding, dared to dwell; there is no other place for man who is not immersed in the abyss of Thy compassion. Yet no sooner does he turn his heart and eyes from the depths of iniquity than he finds himself in that ocean of mercy which encompasses all Thy creatures. So will I bow myself before Thee in my shame and the sense of my misery; the fire of my suffering shall dry up within me the abyss of my sinfulness, and there shall remain for me only the eternal kingdom of Thy mercy.

FIFTH PRAYER

Take back my will , O Lord, take back my will; for if I can suspend it one instant before Thee, the torrents of Thy life and light, having nothing to resist them, shall pour impetuously within me. Help me to break down the woeful barriers which divide me from thee; arm me against myself; triumph within me over all Thine enemies and mine by subduing my will. O Eternal Principle of all joy and of all truth! when shall I be so renewed as no longer to be conscious of self, save in the permanent affection of Thine exclusive and vivifying will? When shall every kind of privation appear to me a profit and advantage, by preserving me from all bondage, and leaving me ample means to bind myself to the freedom of Thy spirit and wisdom? When shall evils appear to me as favours extended by Thee, as so many opportunities of Victory, so many occasions of receiving from Thy hand the crowns of glory which Thou dost distribute to all those who fight in Thy name? When shall all advantages and joys of this life become to me as so many snares, unceasingly set by the enemy that he may establish in our heart a god of lying and seduction in place of that God of peace and truth who should reign there for ever? When, in fine, shall the holy zeal of Thy love and the ardour of my union with Thee rule me to renounce with delight my life, my happiness, with all affections foreign to this sole end of Thy creature man, so loved by Thee that Thou hast given Thyself all for him, that he might be inflamed by Thine example? I know, O Lord, that whosoever is not transported by this holy devotion is not worthy of Thee, and has not yet made the first step in Thy path. The knowledge of Thy will and the solicitude of the faithful never to depart from it for a moment, herein is the one, the true resting-place for the soul of man; he cannot enter therein without being filled immediately with rapture, as if all his being were renewed and revivified in all its faculties by the springs of Thine own life, nor can he withdraw therefrom without beholding himself given over forthwith to all the horrors of uncertainty, danger, and death. Hasten, God of consolation, hasten, God of power, to communicate to my heart one of those pure movements of Thy holy and invincible will! One only is needed to establish the reign of Thine eternity, and for constant and universal resistance of all alien wills which combine in my soul, mind, and body to give battle thereto. Then shall I abandon myself to my God in the sweet effusion of my faith, then shall I proclaim His wonderful works. Men are not worthy of Thy wonders, or to contemplate the sweetness of Thy wisdom, the profundity of Thy counsels; and I, vile insect that I am, can I even dare to name them, who merit only visitations of justice and wrath? Lord, Lord! may the star of Jacob rest for a moment upon me; may Thy holy light be kindled in my thought, and Thy will most pure in my heart!

SIXTH PRAYER

Hearken, my soul , hearken, and be consoled in thy distress! There is a mighty God who undertakes to heal all thy wounds. He alone has this supreme power, and He exercises it only towards those who acknowledge that He possesses it and is its zealous administrator. Come not before him in disguise like the wife of Jeroboam whom the prophet overwhelmed with reproaches; come rather with the humility and confidence which should be inspired by a sense of thy frightful evils, and of that Universal Power which willeth not the death of a sinner, since it is He who created souls. Let time fulfil its law upon thee in all the things of time; speed not thy work by disorders; delay it not by false desires and vain speculations, the heritage of the fool. Concerned alone with thine interior cure, thy spiritual deliverance, collect with care the scant forces which each temporal period develops within thee ; make use of these secret motions of life to draw nearer daily unto Him who already would possess thee in His breast, and share with thee the sweet freedom of a being who enjoys fully the use of all his faculties without ever encountering a hindrance. Whensoever these happy ecstasies transport thee, raise thyself on thy bed of sorrow, and cry unto this God of mercy and almightiness: Lord, wilt Thou leave to languish in bondage and shame this former image of Thyself, whom the ages may have buried under their dust but have never been able to efface? It dared to misconceive Thee in those days when it dwelt in the splendour of Thy glory. Thou hadst only to close the eye of Thine eternity, and it was plunged from that instant into darkness, as into the depths of the abyss. Since that deplorable lapse it has become the daily scorn of all its enemies, who not contented to cover it with derision, have filled it with their poisons, have loaded it with chains so that it could no longer defend itself, but became an easier prey to their envenomed darts. Lord, Lord! is not this long and humiliating ordeal sufficient for man to recognise Thy justice and do homage to Thy power? Has not this infected mass of its enemy’s contempt enervated long enough the image of Thyself to open his eyes and convince him of his illusions? Dost Thou not fear that in the end these corrosive substances may entirely efface its imprint and place it beyond recognition? The enemies of Thy light and Thy wisdom would not fail to confound this long chain of my degradations with Thine eternity itself; they would believe their reign of horror and disorder is the sole abode of truth; they would claim themselves victorious over Thee and possessed of Thy kingdom. Permit not, therefore, longer, O God of zeal and jealousy, the profanation of Thine image; the desire of Thy glory fills me more than any desire of my happiness apart from that glory of Thine Rise on Thy throne immortal, the throne of Thy wisdom, ablaze with the marvels of Thy power; enter for a moment that holy vineyard which Thou hast planted from all eternity; pluck but one of those vivifying grapes which it produces unceasingly; let the sacred and regenerating juice flow upon my lips; it will moisten my parched tongue, it will enter into my heart, it will bear to it both joy and life, it will penetrate all my members and will make them strong and healthy. Then shall I be quick, agile, vigorous as on that first day when I came forth from Thy hands. Then shall Thine enemies, frustrated in their hopes, blush with shame and tremble with fear and rage to see their opposition against Thee made vain and the accomplishment of my sublime destiny despite their daring and persistent efforts. Hearken then, O my soul! hearken, and be consoled in thy distress! A mighty God there is who hath undertaken the healing of thy wounds.

SEVENTH PRAYER

I present myself at the gates of the temple of my God, and I will quit not this humble asylum of the indigent till I have received my daily bread from the Father of my life. Behold the mystery of this bread! I have tasted thereof, and I will proclaim its sweetness to unborn nations. The Eternal God of Beings; the sacred title taken by Him who is made flesh that He might be manifested to the visible and invisible nations; the spirit of Him at whose Name every knee shall bow, in heaven, on earth, and in hell; such are the three immortal elements which compose this daily bread. It is multiplied unceasingly, like the immensity of beings who are nourished thereby, and, whatsoever be their number, never can they diminish its abundance. It has developed in me the eternal germs of my life, and has enabled them to circulate in my veins the sacred sap of my original and divine roots. The four elements which compose it have dispelled darkness and confusion from the chaos of my heart; they have restored to it the living and holy light; their creative force has transformed me into a new being, and I have become the custodian and administrator of their sacred characters and lifegiving signs. Therefore, as His angel and minister have I shown myself in all regions, to make known the glory of Him who hath chosen man; I have reviewed all the work of His hands and have distributed to each of them those signs and characters which He has impressed on me in order that they might be transmitted to them. and to confirm the properties and powers which they have received. But my ministry has not been confined to operation on the regular works of Eternal Wisdom; I have approached whatsoever was deformed, and have set on these fruits of disorder the signs of justice and vengeance attached to the secret powers of my election; those which I could snatch from corruption I have offered as a holocaust to the supreme God, and I have composed my perfumes of the pure praises of my mind and heart, so that all which lives may confess that the homage, the glory, the honour are due unto this sole supreme God as the source of power and justice. I have exclaimed in the transports of my love: Blessed is man, because Thou hast elected him as the seat of Thine authority and the minister of Thy glory in the universe. Blessed is man, because Thou hast permitted him to feel, even in the depths of his essence, the penetrating activity of Thy divine life. Blessed is man, because he may dare to offer Thee a sacrifice of thanksgiving founded in the ineffable sentiment of all the wishes of Thy holy infinity. Powers of the material world! powers of the physical universe! not thus hath God treated you! He has constituted you the simple agents of His laws and the forces operating for the fulfilment of His designs. Hence is there no other being in Nature which does not second Him in His work and co-operate in the execution of His plans. But He is not made known to you as the God of peace and the God of love; at the moment when He brought you into being ye were disturbed by the consequences of rebellion, since He ordained man to subdue and govern you. Still less, ye perverted and corrupt powers, has He dispensed to you those favours with which He has deigned to overwhelm man. Ye have failed to preserve those which were granted you by virtue of your origin; ye dreamed of a brighter lot and a more splendid privilege than to be the objects of His tenderness, from which moment ye have deserved only to be the victims of His justice. To man alone has He confided the treasures of His wisdom; on this being after His own heart has He centred all His affection and all His powers. Sovereign Author of my spirit, my soul, and my heart! be Thou blessed for ever and in all places, because Thou hast permitted man, Thine ungrateful and criminal creature, to recover these sublime truths. Had the memory of Thine ancient and sacred covenant bound not Thy love to restore them, they would have been lost unto man for ever. Praise and benediction to Him who hath formed man in His image and after His own likeness, who, despite all the endeavours and all the triumphs of hell, hath reclothed him in his splendour, in the wisdom and the beatitudes of his origin. Amen.

EIGHTH PRAYER

Men of peace and men of aspirations ! let us contemplate in unison, with a holy fear, the vastness of the mercies of our God. Let us confess to Him together that all the thoughts of men, all their purest desires, all their ordered deeds, could not, when combined, approach the smallest act of His love. How should we therefore express it? for it is confined to no individual deeds or times, but manifests at once all its treasures, and that in a constant, universal, and unhindered way! God of truth and God of love! so actest Thou daily with man. Amidst all mine infection and vileness Thy hand untiring extracts what still remains of those precious and sacred elements of which Thou didst form me at first. Like the thrifty woman in the Gospel consuming her light to recover the dime which she lost, Thy lamps are ever lighted, ever Thou stoopest to earth, ever hopest to recover from the dust that pure gold which has slipped from Thy hands. Men of peace! how should we contemplate otherwise than with holy fear the extent of the mercies of our God! We are a thousand times more guilty towards Him than, in the sight of human justice are those malefactors who are dragged through cities and public places, loaded with the insignia of infamy, and forced to confess their crimes aloud at the doors of the temples and in the presence of the powers which they have defied. Like them, and a thousand times more deservedly than they, should we be dragged ignominiously to the feet of all the powers of Nature and the Spirit; we should be paraded like criminals through all the regions of the universe, both visible and invisible, and should receive in their presence the terrible and shameful chastisements which are invoked by our appalling prevarications. But in place of finding stern judges armed with vengeance, behold a venerable Monarch whose eyes publish His clemency, whose lips utter pardon only for all those who do not blindly hold themselves guiltless. Far from willing that we should wear henceforth the vestments of opprobrium, He commands His servants to give back to us our primeval robe, to set a ring on our finger and shoes on our feet. For all these favours it is enough, like later prodigal sons. to confess that we have not found in the house of strangers the happiness of the house of the Father. Men of peace ! say, shall we contemplate except with holy fear the infinite love and mercy of our God? Say, shall we not make a holy resolution to remain faithful for ever to His laws and to the beneficent counsels of His wisdom? O God! incomprehensible in indulgence and past understanding in love, I can love but Thee alone; I would love none but Thee, who hast forgiven me so much. I desire no place of repose except in the heart of my God, who embraces all by His power, my support on every side, my succour and my consolation. From this divine source all blessings pour on me at once. He pours Himself into the heart of man continually and for ever. So does He engender within us His own life; so does He establish within us the pure rays and extracts of His own essence, whereon He loves to brood, and they become in us the organs of His endless generations. From this sacred treasury, through all the faculties of our nature, He directs kindred emanations, which repeat in turn their action through all that constitutes ourselves, and thus our spiritual activity, our virtues, our lights are unceasingly multiplied. Behold, it is exceeding profitable to erect Him a temple in our hearts! O men of peace! O men of aspiration! say, shall we contemplate without a holy fear the vastness of the love and of the mercies and of the powers of our God?

NINETH PRAYER

How should it be possible , O Lord, to sing here below the canticles of the Holy City? Amidst such streams of tears, can we raise the hymns of jubilation? I lift up my voice to begin them, but I utter sighs only and tones of pain. I am overwhelmed by the length of my sufferings; my sin is ever before me, threatening instant death, with the chill of its poisons freezing all my being. Even now it lays hold of my members; the moment comes when I shall lie like a corpse which is left by hirelings to putrefaction. Yet Thou, O Lord, who art the universal source of all that exists, art also the font of hope. If this spark of flame be not already quenched in my heart, I still cling unto Thee, I am still bound to Thy divine life by that deathless hope which springs for ever from Thy throne. From the depth of my abyss I dare therefore to implore Thee, to pray that the hand of Thy lovingkindness may heal me. How are the cures of the Lord effected? By humble submission to the wise counsel of the Divine Physician. With gratitude and ardent desire must I drink the bitter draught which His hand offers; my will must be joined with that which animates Him towards me; the length and sufferings of the treatment must not prompt me to reject the good which the Supreme Author of all goodness seeks to effect in me. He is penetrated with the sense of my sufferings, and I have only to be enkindled myself with the sense of His loving interest; then shall the chalice of salvation profit me; then shall my tongue be strengthened to sing the canticles of the Holy City. Lord, with what hymn shall I begin? With one to His honour and glory who has restored me to health and effected my deliverance. From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same will I chant this canticle over all the earth, not only to celebrate the power and love of my Liberator, but to communicate to all desiring souls, to the entire human family, the certain and efficacious means of recovering health and life for ever. I will teach them thereby how the spirit of wisdom and truth may abide in their own hearts and direct them in all their ways. Amen.

TENTH PRAYER

My soul hast thou strength to consider the enormity of that debt which guilty man has contracted with Divinity ? If thou hast found strength for crime, thou hast good reason to contemplate it in all its horror. Measure, therefore, in thy thought the vineyard of the Lord; remember that man should tend it; conceive the wealth of the harvest which it should produce under his care; think how all creatures under heaven await their sustenance from its culture by thee, that the vineyard of the Lord awaits in like manner its adornment at thy hands, that the Lord Himself awaits from thy fidelity and watchfulness all the praise and glory which should accrue from the fulfilment of His plans. But thou hast fallen; the dominion of the enemy upon thee; thou hast made barren the Lord’s ground, brought the dwellers therein to want, and filled God’s heart with sadness. Thou hast dried up the source of wisdom and of increase in this lower world, and still thou dost hinder daily the productions of the Lord. Consider the extent of thy debt, the inpossibility of its payment. The fruits of each year are owing from the moment of thine infidelity, the wages of all the hours which have passed since that fatal hour. Where is the being who shall acquit thee in the sight of that eternal justice whose dues cannot be cancelled, whose designs must attain their fulfilment? Herein, O God supreme, are exhibited the torrents of Thy mercy and the inexhaustible abundance of Thine eternal treasures. Thy heart is opened towards Thy hapless creature: not only his debts are discharged, but a surplus remains with which he may succour the needy. Thou hast ordained Thy Word itself to cultivate the vineyard of man: that sacred Word whose soul is love has come down into this barren place; the fire of His speech has consumed all the parasitic and poisonous plants which choked it; He has sown the seed of the tree of life in their place; He has opened up health-giving springs, and it has been moistened by living waters, He has restored strength to the beasts of the earth, wings to the birds of heaven, light to the starry torches, sound and speech to every spirit which abides in the sphere of man. To the soul of man itself He has restored that love of which He . alone is the source, which has inspired His holy and wonderful sacrifice. Eternal God of all praise and grace, one only being, Thy Son Divine, could thus repair our disorders and acquit us in the sight of Thy justice. The creative being alone could make restitution of that which we squandered, for it needed a new creation. If, therefore, O universal powers! ye strive to chant His praises who has reinstated you in your rights and restored your activity, what thanks are not due from me, since He has become the hostage for my debts Himself towards you, to all my brethren, and has discharged all? It was said of the penitent woman that much was forgiven her because she had loved much But for man all has been remitted, not only prior to his love, but while he was steeped in the horrors of ingratitude. O men! O brethren ! let us give ourselves wholly to Him who has begun by forgiving all to us. Each one of God’s movements is universal and is manifested in every universe. Now, like unto this God supreme, be the movement of love universal in all our nature, at once embracing all the faculties which compose us. Amen.

Life Lessons with Grace through Hardship

Greetings Fr. and Sr.

With my recent extended stay in the south I have noticed many things, and learned a lot of myself. I have seen it is important to always keep those of closeness in light and love near, and as always I send blessings of light, life, and love to all and perhaps at times even just one individual, no matter what task is that is being faced. My adventure have proved to be a test for all, and I see we continue to be peace filled and learned in so many different paths and ways of knowing.

We have grown to love each other more and dearly and use our unbreakable courage in ways that inspire each other and give hope to all when in this time day and age, the World needs it most. As we continue on our uphill ascent to the top and master waiting for us there, there is so much to encounter, for the path and journey are one and a destination only a destination.

This journey is one of learning and may never fully come to rest until all have been reintroduced to the cosmic mission laid before us. We have taken up the important position as stewards of light, and throughout our days, may peace filter into moments of zen here or there, and remembrance of the fact that we still have each other, in fraternal trust and comradery. Let us look forward to the infinite ways we can manifest aide to all, and know when there is time for transition, we used all the gifts given to us, well and in full service to the cosmic.

Fraternally Yours,

Fr. Baird

Invisibility Cloak

With all of the interest surrounding the final movie in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series, I would like to share my own version of an Invisibility Cloak.

This is a visualization I use frequently that came to me from my own understanding following a period of personal study. It is especially helpful during a time of illness, uncertainty, working with or being in the general public, and simply for good measure on a daily basis. I find it comforting.

I visualized being placed in a small room made of stone, possibly a tomb. The room is warm and smells of pungent herbs and resins. There is a warm glow about the room as if the stone itself were the source of illumination. It is safe from all outside influences and resonates with a healing purpose.

During this time i am weakened, ill, and unable to care for my own being. I am laid on a stone bed, and the man I recognize as Jesus comes to heal me. In my infirmity, he places the robe of Christ over me. I can feel it's healing energy vibrating throughout my body, healing me.

Though it looks like a humble shepard's robe, once laid on me, it transforms into a magnificent hooded garment made of golden threads and gossamer, styled as if for royalty. While I am no longer in the tomb, the cloak I take with me during my day. It protects me and heals myself and others that get close to it. I can take it off to wrap around others for healing and still have it's essence surrounding me. With this cloak, ill can do no harm.

I am grateful for all that I have been led to understand and those whose understanding precedes mine.
