Palm Sunday

When Jesus and the disciples drew near Jerusalem
and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives,
Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them,
“Go into the village opposite you,
and immediately you will find an ass tethered,
and a colt with her.
Untie them and bring them here to me.
And if anyone should say anything to you, reply,
‘The master has need of them.’
Then he will send them at once.”
This happened so that what had been spoken through the prophet
might be fulfilled:
Say to daughter Zion,
“Behold, your king comes to you,
meek and riding on an ass,
and on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.”

The disciples went and did as Jesus had ordered them.
They brought the ass and the colt and laid their cloaks over them,
and he sat upon them.
The very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road,
while others cut branches from the trees
and strewed them on the road.
The crowds preceding him and those following
kept crying out and saying:
“Hosanna to the Son of David;
blessed is the he who comes in the name of the Lord;
hosanna in the highest.”
And when he entered Jerusalem
the whole city was shaken and asked, “Who is this?”
And the crowds replied,
“This is Jesus the prophet, from Nazareth in Galilee

Not certain now

I doubt anyone reads this but I have a problem with the TMO.

First let me reiterate that I was a member long ago.  I really didn't need to rejoin I have all the monographs, I can see them from where I sit right now.  But, a lot has changed in that time.

My main problem I guess is that I am having a difficult time reconciling the TMO with my religious beliefs.  While I realize that the TMO says its not a religion, it still uses religious terminology to present its opinions.  While I can appreciate this tightrope walk that it tries to maintain, at the same time I have serious doubts about its validity.  It seems to me to be simply another persons interpretation of what constitutes the TRUTH, and frankly, with the exception of its longevity, has no other basis other than the apparent zeal of its members to verify its opinion of what truth is.

To be honest I have also not been welcomed back with open arms.  Members of the TMO, assured of their specialness in their apparent smugness, do not reach out or in any way that I can determine that backs up their lofty beliefs, and that is what they are, beliefs, with any action.  Words are fine, we all have them, but there is no proof I can see that any of it, in a group sense, leads to any concrete actions that lift up mankind.  As I said, talking about how the world is a mess and how we can hide behind a mask and a cloak and meditate that it will lead man back to an exalted state in unity with its creator is all well and good, in a rather childish way, but where is the good work?  Where is the heart that hides within the cloak.

I have no doubt members mean well, but frankly the TMO comes across as a private little club of supposed illuminated souls who play act a drama with no real recourse of action.  Id like to think differently but based on the total lack of communication from members as well an intuitive reaction I get that its nothing more than just another group of people who talk a good game but as a GROUP do nothing concrete to uplift mankind.

Jesus the Christ said, Love GOD and Love thy Neighbor.  Is it really necessary to play act to do that?  I hope whoever, if anyone, reads this doesn't take offense, but really, what does it really have to do with anything that matters?

The return

Its been over twenty years since I was a member of the Martinist order. You may wonder why I have returned. Allow me to elaborate. When I firrst joined I was filled with that noob excitement that we all feel when we discover something new. I was raised in Roman Catholicism and much of the rosicrucian teachings as well as the Martinist teachings seemed familiar. But fathers was a shadow side as well as everything I believed in was sifted and life presented so many challenges that I began to wonder what was really the truth and what was instead simply the thoughts on truth espoused by philosophers throughput the ages. In my own life tragedy and the harshness of life took their toll and having finished the three degrees and the C.U.P. of the Order and with no way to participate in a Heptad it seemed like that was the end of the road.My daughter has been very ill and with no miracles to report I was frankly left empty. So what changed?I was watching a film about a priest who does exorcisms and he was talking about the nature of evil. (the Rite) That may seem silly to you but I realized watching it that what I was really avoiding was taking a "leap of faith." The thought occurred to me that the faith of my parents had value and that the social consciousness of the church had done great good in alleviating the suffering of people, especially children, throughout the world. And I wondered, what if I had missed the point of the Martinists when I had relegated it to merely the study of words, with no action to back them up. I could sense the humanism of the founders of the order and that once again stirred in me a desire to be. Of service, no matter the circumstances of my own life. So,short story made shorter, I have returned to the fold, so to speak and this time around I will attempt to not just learn but to do. The best I can. Who knows where it will lead but I,m in for the long haul now, And together with you all return to this path. So mote it be. ☺️

Life

I want to tell you a bit about my life. There are others on this site who can inform you better than I can about subjects of mutual interest, so if I cannot give information, maybe I can give myself.

I started getting sick around age 8. I was manifesting somatic complaints, but I think what I was experiencing were the effects of trauma. Later in life I was to do trauma work and recall some things that I am not sure I want to. Be that as it may, bad neurology, multiple near death experiences, but always striving to be a true servant of God - it actually paid off.

I can see the hand of God guiding me, through all the sickness and pain, to just where I am today, a Rosicrucian and a Martinist. Things I learned from a South Indian man set me up most immediately, but there were many things throughout my life where I dumbly turned down this road or that, only to have it wind up being the road in life that I needed to take. Many times it was not pleasant, but at all times I was being made a better person, shedding unproductive ways like a snake sheds its skin.

My point, then, is not the trials I endured. It is the imprint of the Divine on everything we do, whether we know it or not, whether it seems like the Divine would do such a thing. The Grand Architect of the Universe is doing a splendid job of organizing things. No matter how it seems, it is best to let him.

Looking to discuss the work of Martinez de Pasquale, namely his work entitled "Treatise of Reintegration of Beings". If you have a print out from our Heptad, you will find the single page in question on page 22. Otherwise, if you have an electronic copy please press CTRL + F (Find) and type "To convince oneself of this fact, one must take notice that Adam, by three spirituous principles which compose his apparent material form". It includes then next 3 paragraphs after that line.

For a copy click here:

http://www.rosicrucian.org/publications/digest/digest1_2014/19_pasqually02/19_pasqually02.pdf

The page centers on an analysis of the putrefaction (rotting) of human dead bodies (cadavers) and the creation (vegetation) of maggots upon our dead body which causes our body to reintegrate.

My personal interpretation of certain words, representing keys to understanding the whole work are:

Creature = Human kind (Adam from the Bible) could also refer to living things in general. I noticed throughout the work he will use general words to refer to specific things but later in the work he will use the same general word but a different specific thing.

Passive animals / Reptiles animals / Irreasonable animals = specifically, in the context of page 22 we are analysing, it refers to what are commonly known as "maggots". However, I believe he also means it in a general sense, referring to living beings that come to be and exist without will, but rather to complete a function. I believe he means things like bacteria, fungi, fruit flies, and maggots.

Sulphur, salt, and mercury/three spirituous principles / three operating principles = by these I believe he means the alchemical equivalents to the words, namely Ash, oil, and Alcohol.

Axle Central Fire - Heat from the body that escapes upon death.

Elementary Fire - I believe this may refer to a heat created when something rots. The chemical reactions of decomposition create a certain heat.

Spirituous Fire - ?

Let me know what you think, agree or disagree with my interpretation, or add to it. Any additional interpretations of the work, any page, word definitions, or inspirations into the work would be greatly appreciated and warmly received.

Sincerely,

~Mike Distler

Technologies of the soul tend to be simple, bodily, slow and related to the heart as much as the mind.  Everything around us tells us we should be mechanically sophisticated, electronic, quick, and informational in our expressiveness - an exact antipode to the virtues of the soul.  It is no wonder, then, that in an age of telecommunications - which, by the way, literally means "distant connections" - we suffer symptoms of the loss of soul.  We are being urged from every side to become efficient rather than intimate.

Our Religion is what we have become.......

From Dr. Dahesh:

Divine revelation is pure only at
the source, that’s why it is essential that we retrace each religion back to its
origin. The further we go in time, the more likely we are to see it muddled.
Christianity (just to take an example I am familiar
with) is the very proof of that degradation; for after the advent of
Christ every century produced its own share of beguilement,
laissez-faire, and concessions, adding them to the original spirit of the
revealed truth, in that to serve our whims and wants. Such a par for the course
tendency not only weakened our belief in the “spiritual,” but it also had a
nefarious effect on our morals and ethics. And this adverse effect gave rise to
a certain doubt in the existence of the soul and her immortality through the
years, a legitimate doubt, nonetheless, which ended up being the Achilles’ heel
of modern-day thinking. Our religion is
what we have become, not what we ought to be

October 7th

Greetings Brothers and Sisters;

I am off for a week and am doing extra studying in my lessons. I can devote more time to them this week.

I ran across some books by an author- Rudolf Steiner on Amazon. Has anyone read his books?

I am trying to figure out the best incense to use in my studies -one that won't set off the smoke alarms. That seems to be a problem in my apartment with the smoke detectors. I am not even close to them, either.

I put some new pictures on my site. They are ones that I ran across that seem to speak to me in my studies.

Is there a closer Heptad to the Albany, NY area, then New York City? I cannot go down that far and would like to attend a Heptad in the near future.

I welcome all correspondence from other Brothers and Sisters.

Yours In the Light,

Carol
