We are born happy. Happiness goes near to us, like a ray of sunlight. We often do not notice it, but it is always with us. All the troubles that happen to us, due to the fact that we tend to forget that happiness near us. We just need to to recall this

Metaphorically speaking, we each spend some time lost in the Forest of Errors. While wandering in the Forest we come face to face with the demons of ignorance and we are forced to battle. Without our prior knowledge we are unprepared for these battles. Still we battle and battle we must if we are to succeed.
The paradox is that once we are prepared to face such battles, we will no longer be in the Forest of Errors.
I suppose it's all easy enough to figure out since from a learning perspective what good is a battle without struggle? We wouldn't learn anything if we didn't have to suffer a little; and learning is paramount when battling the demons of ignorance.
This Tuesday, November 24/2015, I have once again returned to my T.M.O. Home Oratory lessons. I'm most of the way through Level 2 and I hope to continue for at least another year.
I am under the illusion that the strongest force in creation is Love. I believe that everything is a manifestation of love.
The strongest known force in the universe is called, in particle physics, the Strong Nuclear Force. Greatly simplified, the Strong Force holds the protons and nucleons bound together in the nucleus of an atom. This is more far more significant than it may first appear because, as we all know, like charges repel each other. However, this force holds the positively charged protons together. Since our physical world is made of atoms, without the Strong Force, how could it exist?
As Above, So Below….
Likewise, the gravitational pull of the stars hold their planets near and give them the nourishment to support life, even life different from our own. But the important thing is that the stars keep the planets near them to care for them and to nourish them with their radiant energy.
In the same way, we surround ourselves with a circle of friends that are similar to the orbits of the planets around their focal point, or star. Are we not children of the stars?
Don’t we all try to keep the people near to us that we cherish? This is sometimes difficult with the demands of society especially in today’s competitive world, but the more I look around the more I see love. I can see the range of love from the most mundane to the most complex. And with the proper perspective, the most mundane can also be the most complex.
Son: "Dearest father, at heart you are still only a sweet little boy."
Father: Who is now smiling gently, "After all I have experienced and taught you, how can you say such things to me?"
Son: "Do you see your grandson there? He is the seed of your own seed. Notice how he reacts with such emotion to the music? Do you see how he listens to the song that he likes? The song is sad to him, but still he loves it so. He is happy when listening, but when the song mentions crying – he gets tears in his eyes and his lips tremble as he sings, yet he still sings along, albeit with trouble from the inner conflict which he is experiencing, experiencing by feeling emotion without reason or understanding. What he feels is more than understanding; these feelings are a pure emanation from his soul."
"Is this any different from when you reflect on the days of your parents and try to speak of them? We see the same emotions, and our feeble attempt to repress them, except we explain and try to reason them differently only because there are some 72 years difference in age between the two of you. However, maybe there are less years separating you than you realize...
We say he is a sweet boy because he is able to innocently express himself without fear when the most basic of human emotions overwhelm him, why then are we not held to the same standards when we experience the same unbridled emotions?”
In conclusion - I believe our love and tenderness never fade, only the masks we wear to conceal it.
Be nice to others? That’s easy we say. I don’t harm anyone with my actions. But the actual intended meaning goes far deeper than this.
The Golden Rule says “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. For years I only thought of the physical meaning physical. I always knew not to physically harm others and so I thought the Golden Rule was pretty simple and never gave it much more thought.
Sometime later I meditated on the synthesis of Thought, Word, and Action. I started to have new thoughts, new thoughts about old things, and The Golden Rule kept coming to mind. Then I felt the weight of the Golden Rule and Thought, Word, and Action and how they are so intertwined. They go together like the double helix of a DNA strand. Of course we shouldn’t physically harm people but how many times have we done just that with our thoughts. Maybe at times we should remind ourselves to “Think of others as you would have them think of you”…..
The Golden Rule is such a blessing and a powerful tool when used correctly and now I am aware of the significance of Thought, Word, and Action. Although keeping them all focused proves to be much more difficult than originally thought, it is also infinitely more rewarding.
Does Anyone see the parallels in Blavatsky teachings and Martinism?
Nature is full of genius, full of the divinity; so that not a snowflake escapes its fashioning hand. - Henry David Thoreau. Pause to appreciate the beauty around you. Be gentle with the earth. - Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama. One touch of nature makes the whole world kin. - William Shakespeare. Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. - Albert Einstein. |
